The Athletics Commission is responsible for establishing and running the organized sports programs here at Mary, Mother of the Church. Our goal is to help participants learn the fundamentals of a sport, teamwork and good sportsmanship in a Christian environment. All children that live within the church boundaries (in addition to parishioners that live outside of its boundaries) are welcome to our program. Currently, the parish sponsors teams in softball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, basketball and track.

Athletics Commission meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Lower Annex. All are welcome to attend.

Concessions Deposit Policy

MMOC Athletics has adopted a mandatory deposit policy for scheduling parents to work concessions. Parents are required to work one concession stand shift for each sport in which your child participates.

At registration for each sport, the parent(s) will have a hold of $125.00 placed on the credit card that you used during registration. You will be directed to chose a date to work concession stand. Please note that at the time you register we may not know the exact date of games so you may be contacted to pick a different shift.

We will only charge the card for that amount if you do not serve your concession stand shift(s).  You must work your entire shift.  If you need to leave or don't show up, it is YOUR responsibility to have someone cover for you.  If you do not provide coverage for all or part of a shift you will miss, your credit card will be charged. 

You may be required to work a concession stand shift for each child that is registered.  For example 3 children registered will be 3 shifts you have to work for the regular season.

Uniform Deposit Policy 

This policy applies to ALL MMOC team uniforms except Tee ball and K-2 basketball t-shirts.

At registration, a hold in the amount of $50 will be put on your credit card for EACH uniform you are picking up. We will only charge the credit card for that amount if the uniform(s) are not returned by the final Uniform Return date for your sport.

There will be multiple dates/times for the return of the uniforms for each sport.  you will receive an e-mail  with the Uniform Pick-up and Return dates as well as the dates will be posted on the Athletic Commission page of the Mary Mother website.
