As we move toward the conclusion of the liturgical season of Lent, Contemplative Core Team member Carolyn Hebenstreit shares a reflection she discovered, in the hope that we will integrate the true meaning of Lent into every aspect of our lives:
Have a More Meaningful Lent
We often think that God wants more from us.
We think he wants more sacrifices, monastic-level prayer, and an intense spiritual workout routine.
It can make Lent exhausting.
In reality, God doesn’t want more FROM us—he wants more FOR us.
He wants our healing and our hearts.
He wants us to be close to him.
He wants us to be free.
This Lent, you can arrive at Easter more healed, fulfilled, and transformed than ever before.
Let go of what you are clinging to and just be with God – in silence – listening to God – feel His loving presence in your soul.
