As a "radiant light" and a "bold witness", the Peace and Justice ministry of Mary, Mother of the Church focusses our light on Catholic Social teachings. Prompted by the Gospel, we are compelled to bear bold witness to God's people who endure inequities and to transform our minds and hearts to Jesus for the purpose of creating a more just community where all can live in peace.
The Peace and Justice ministry meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday. The Ministry works to:
Develop educational opportunities on Social Justice issues to understand the intolerance in society, its roots and effects.
Collaborate and partner with the Archdiocese and other local parishes to share programs and resources that foster the common good.
Communicate Gospel values and the principles of Catholic Social Teachings that promote the dignity of each individual.
